At the moment I have a reflective red GTI tailgate, would love an original black tailgate, no idea were I could get one, apart from eBay??

Wow, was just coming on here to ask about them, mine's split at the edges where it slides on and off

Looks like it's worth a shot

Doesn't say, you could plasticare it to grey maybe?

I've gone for a reflective Peugeot 205 panel that I saw on fleabay as it was only £50 and I quite like them in red....

Sad I know

There is a grey one on Ebay but its £85!

There isn't a grey one on their site. Think the only reproduction grey ones are those bought from Germany and apparently don't fit.

Marty I check out their customer feedback on a well known social media site- it stopped me placing an order is all I'm saying...

Even at £13 cos I'm a tight fisted Northerner! --And proud of it!

I mean the panel may be OK but a lot of complaining about delivery times - theres a guy I know who has a lot of spares if your desperate - if you don't get a solution PM me and I will ask him when I next see him.

Well I will text him actually!

Just google the part number PG551AAAAN. There's loads of places that sell it too around the same price.

£6 post so £21.40 in your hand

Edit- I've just bought one now. I'll let you know quality when it arrives, which is tomorrow apparently..

It has to be infinitely better than mine at the moment, even if it arrives in 5 pieces it's an improvement on mine

Interested to know if it has white specks\swirls in it when it arrives. I have one with the same issue (although from a different supplier) but I know ATK bought a number of these and couldn't find one that didn't have the marking.

ATK

Yup, I bought Pg551aaan from every supplier on google and all had the swirl scuff marks on. Seemed like all uk stock of the current batch are faulty. I ended up being lucky and finding a genuine Pug one in a dusty dealer basement in France.

Interested to hear if anyone gets a tidy one!

Looks fine to me, no problems...

EDIT> most of the marks are my office light, but the only mark I can see is above the lock hole - slight 'curve' but I think it'll be fine. I'm prepared to fit it anyway

Interesting, certainly looks fine at a glance and £20 odd delivered is pretty reasonable.

Be interested to hear if it fits OK, as there was some which were apparently too small and thus didn't fit properly in addition to the ones already mentioned by ATK that had damage/defects.

If it's all OK I'll buy one myself as the one on my 205 isn't great.

Will see how fitting goes when I get car back from bodyshop..

One thing my other didn't have (or snapped off) was the securing stud poking out of the back of it

Will compare to my OEM one tonight
