James_K 6 1 Cars Posted February 25, 2017 I have rust bubbling through behind my rear arch, so this morning I took the rear wash bottle out to see if I could get to it. I was surprised to see both the inner arch and the outer panel were stuffed with glass fibre insulation, which seemed to be a wick for moisture. Is this normal sound insulation or has someone bodged it in there? Seemed odd to me, just curious. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I can't imagine why anyone would want to stuff it there in the first place, maybe to keep the boot warm! It has certainly lead to worse corrosion than there would be otherwise.
