Coil Pack Wiring

Recommended Posts

Rob Turbo

When I started wiring my megasquirt loom I was just going off the autodata diagrams, which say the coil pack wiring for all wasted spark peugeots is:

1 - Coil 1

2 - Coil 2

3 - +12v

4 - GND

But after checking my wiring on the 306 it's:

1 - Coil 1

2 - Coil 2

3 - GND

4 - +12v

And having just had another 2.0 8v turbo loom delivered to check over I've found that it's the same as my 306 loom, also the wiring diagrams for citroens on autodata shows that the wiring on my 306 is correct, so I've now swapped the +12v and GND wires around so they match my current setup.

Does it matter which way around the +12v and GND go or can they be swapped? I'd imagine that they have to be right, that's why I swapped them!

Just curious!

Thanks,

Rob

There's no ground on the coilpack. You have coil 1 and 2 and the two 12v connections which are the same. One is wired to the 12v ignition circuit, the other is a suppressor connection, not a ground. The little black box is the suppressor.

So

1. Coil 1

2. Coil 2

3. 12v or suppressor

4. 12v or suppressor
