finally got her running at midnight the other night lol was a bit worried as it was turning over for ages and wouldnt start but in the end it kicked and purred away :D

only problems is i think because the engines been stood for over a year i think all the lifters have drained and its making one hell of a noise :( anyways heres some more pictures and a vid.

Nice job' !!

Do you think this noise is only lifters ? and not a valve or a spring too ?

havent really updated this in a while but as it was sunny yesterday, i gave her a clean.

since she has been on the road, many problems have come up such as:

clutch is slipping

fuel surge

head gasket

ICV not working properly

driveshafts are leaking.

so hoping to nurse her through the summer and enjoy it :)

i've already bought a swirl pot to sovle the fuel surging, going to order a Bosch 044 fuel pump next week to go with it then that should solve all fueling issues.

hopefully in the winter i will be rebuilding her to high boost spec  so that'll solve the headgasket issue and the clutch.

Wheels look great! Much better than the black speedlines IMO, a fair bit lighter as well i'd imagine!

I'm not normally a fan of most aftermarket wheels on 205's, especially not when they're also larger than standard, but they look really good :)

thanks guys unfortunally i've taken them off now. the tyres are nangkangs are therefore it spins everywhere so put the original wheels on. tyres are also cheaper for 15's and better variety.

Only just spotted this thread :)

Though I think you are on gti6 arent you?

Read on first page about not being able to fit STD rad, you can :), and all seems fine, no water issue on track either :)

Thank god lol

Would love a nice alloy rad though, will have to see what mines like on a hot day

not for a year or so as i bought a house so had to put all my money into that and doing it up how ever 2 weeks ago i took the engine out and started converting and renewing bits on an S16 box. how ever my new engine won't be going into this 205. i'm planning on restoring a non sunroof miami I've got. i want it on the road for the 1st of april but will see. i wouldn't mind getting it featured in a mag as well. not sure if i should carry on in this thread or start new one tho?

thought i best update this. I've been in mixed mines whether to reshell my high boost engine into a non sunny miami shell I've got and make it completely immaculate but i thought that would be a waste of my black shell so going to stick with my shell and make the blue one original one day lol so here are some pics of taking the engine out. nothing special.

I've decided to fit a helix paddle clutch which would be an obvious upgrade considering going high boost. also decided to change gearboxes to an S16 box i had in the garage which i fitted new seals and had to change the diff to suit my 309 drive shafts which was a bit of a pain!
