Hi guys not updated this in a while. I have sourced all the body parts for the respray and painted it last night. Here's the pictures

 

All tucked up for a few days. All and all it went well no reactions and was painted in Few hours

Yeah i am over the moon, turn out really well, even a few others up our unit have commented on how well the paint it and how nice it looks.

 

i have been doing a few bits to it since like:

 

fitted underlay

red carpet

full leather driver seat.

sun roof

rest of the dash,

 

its really starting to look like a car, im going to wait intill my bottle of plasticare comes before fitting all the plastic trim bits and also do my dashboard as its very "White" from abit of primer overspray and dust lol

I've only just realised I recognise this car, did you buy it off a lad near me?

 

I remember some amusing stories from the Peugeot specialist near me about work he had done from other places

i got it from a lad in hurst who only just bought it i think from a guy near woking thats what the log book says was the last owner.

 

what storys? i have no history with the car and no storys

That's the one, the lad got the work done by the bloke in Hurst who had a pug scrap yard out the back.

I saw the number plate and recognised it as it was sat at the lights in front of me near mine.

 

Basically the bloke got the turbo engine fitted by a specialist in the area, they didn't put any oil in it and it blew up. The bloke down Hurst sourced him a new engine and fitted it.

Some updates,

 

the car is really calling my name now, i have most of the interior in now. see pics

 

 

 

 

first time using plasticare my plastic were in a terrible state, mainly white from being in my unit. i dont have many before and afters only this one.

 

 

 

 

Also has anyone got a pic or knows what connects this cable to the latch on the sun roof??

i have put mose of the black trim on now No pics sorry, and i have fitted the leather door cards aswell.

 

just need to fit the front and rear bumpers and sort the sun roof out and its MOT time!!!!!

He is now mid-way through a full engine build with a hybrid turbo.......

Hi guys,

 

soooo here is the update, the car was road legel at the end of Novemeber, its first outing was french night at ace cafe, which on the way home the engine died! turned out to be the brown double relay.

 

once i had it working, i had it on the road and was using it daily for 3 months, i then purchased another car to drive daily as it wasnt fair on the pug.

here are some pics i found of it it and about.

 

 

 

 

 

a couple of months ago i thought to myself its a nice day today so i will take the pug to work, got to work and was going to the gym after work and decided to give it some welly and well the car behind didnt appricate the cloud and onslought of metel shards fyling into there car as the diff exploded through the casing. to say the least the pug was well and truely stranded. and thanks to @haz911 he towed me to his hows which was just up the road and from there i got it back to mine.

 

a couple of weekends ago we diceided to take the engine out and rebuild it along with a new gearbox. so i orders loads of parts. which consists of:

 

Exhaust tubing 2m 2.5"
Exhaust bends x3 90s 2.5
exhaust tip
headbolts
engine oil
diff
diff oil
air filter
air breather
gt 28 outlet flange
gt 28 inlet flange
exhaust spring bolts
water pump
head gasket kit
clutch
aux belt
VTS gearbox
turbo rebuild kit

 

i also purchased a gt28 turbo from a 200sx 60A/R trim. i will be hybriding this turbo with the standard turbos exhaust housing, this will restrict the flow alittle so wont make the 300+bhp that the turbo is rated for more like 280bhpish, but lets be honest thats plenty. i have already started the rebuild of the turbo and everything fits fine

 

started the engine removal in the pissing rain!

called it a day on that one it was so heavy that the rain was coming through the gasibo

and this is what happened to cause all of this effort

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

and then beast!

 

 

i have since this stripped the engine down and found the bores where worn, huge lip at the top of the bores. i since sourced a new block and head for freee from a guy on the xm owners club.

 

i have rebuilt the head with new valve guide and stem seals. just waiting on parts so i can finish the rebuilt and put it back in the car.
