[Car_Upgrade] Peugeot 205 Xs

As for modifying a base model 205 - if one goes custom with the engine, suspension, brakes and interior - what's then left from the GTI anyway? Arches and red carpet? Or perhaps the "spirit"?

The problem with base models (in the UK at least) is the rear wheel arches being too small. Technically if you modify the bodyshell at all you lose the right to registration and need to put it through BIVA or whatever they call it now. VOSA are getting more serious about this and I wouldn't want to put a lot of money into a car that could be at risk of losing its identity.

That is one very nice and clean 205 you have there. A few choice changes and it has transformed it! Well done :)

I'm running 195/50/15's on 6J wheels and they fit within the rear arches fine. The only rubbing is from the bumper only ever on extreme circumstances.

I don't really see it as a problem, would you want to go for anything wider than 195's?

Could always roll the arches or get then professionally pulled out.

Just have to say your car looks awesome! think the graphic down the side and the rallye sticker on the grill really finishes it off nice.

Smart, although not sure the rims suit a flat arch

I have to admit I wasn't too sure at first but it looks unfussy and purposeful with a nice stance (not Dub).

The SL201's looked great but I was finding it hard to get decent tyres in 14", my original plan was to go for the C5 steel look alloys. Then the Compmotive's came up, perfect (for my 205) ET and Peugeot Sport embossed is just cool....so that was that. I will await judgment when I get them colour matched and get some decent pictures.
