This could be worthy of a trip to Brisbane! I tried to swing a business trip up there this weekend but couldn't. Bloody GFC.

Ok guys the story continues.....

"This week’s agenda is

Finish the downpipe’s , fit all water pumps. Fit the electro power steering

3 inch exhaust system, mashine the parts up for the new suspension system"

After yesterday’s test with 6 different water pumps out of wreck car's. We came to the solution, we need same thing with more boost ..

Davies craig was my choice, don’t think there is any better on the market.

1244969709.th.jpg

test fitting . works perfect. Water temp 26 c

1244969899.th.jpg

we wanted to see , how much we can get the water temp down with ice,

so we bought this

1244969952.th.jpg

our test system

1244970112.th.jpg

temp gauge 26c

1244970164.th.jpg

we used the washer bottle for our test’s. we froze down the water from 25c to 4 c

1244970237.th.jpg

after less then 5 min runnig of the water pump for the water air cooler and maybe 5 x 20 sec shorts of cold water on the radiator we reached 6 c outside temp of the radiator

1244970324.th.jpg

after 20 min with out filling ice in the system, and with out any water shots, the temp went up to 14c

the electric power steering out of a 407 doesn’t cost us any hp on the engine, like a belt driven power steering pump.. And I can slow it down on high speeds, or shut it even off .

we will have his position same where around here. So I can hide all pipes under the car

the gap between radiator and throttlebody was to small to get a 90d bent in.

So we had to come up with a new idea, what cost us lot of work ,

But paid it off in the end .

That tailpipe is a bit mad. Don't people trip over it? I'd have just fitted a 3" pipe to match the rest of the system!

Great project and attention to detail but I am a bit lost as to who is now building the car, un numero d'or posts then Magic!

It's Magic's car and he is doing the full build. Numero has posted on his behalf occasionally (it is explained if you read the thread) to keep us updated.

Each of us has his/her own things they like. In this case it seems Magic believes the rear exhaust outlet style is an expression of him and what he's done. Sure we don't all agree with its style - and yes, some poor bugger's gonna end up with grazed shins because of this bazooka - but this couldbe viewed as a little eccentricity and expression from a very talented engineer and fully trained Peugeot master technician.

And you mean 'bling bling' by the way, not 'blink blink'. But I forgive you.

Let's keep this a project thread and not a bitch slapping contest eh?

Car looks nice, really like the attention to detail especially.

Personally not keen on the trumpet stuck on the back or the smoothed but not bodycolour exterior plastics.
