Has anybody done this conversion using the standard airbox on top of rocker and plastic inlet manifold?

I don't think it fits in a 205.

Hi Cal, when i had one I noticed it was slightly too high so didnt use it, though I think an auto bonnet and a bit of spacing it would

So if it was converted to the Gti type cam cover that would solve that problem, I think the inlet manifold is slightly shorter than a Gti6 one so possibly clears

Asking for a friend btw

I think the inlet we used was a gti one, gti injectors, afm etc... Gti ecu too

Completely different to what I'm on about, I mean the later version where the ecu controls spark and injection no AFM etc

id imagine Dan is thinking of the xu5jp, same head as a gti.

10j2 i think has higher rounder ports and a longer inlet but i dont think it sticks out further forward.

not sure if there's enough clearance for the original cam cover, there may be if there isn't a strut brace

The plastic inlet manifold and cam cover will hit the bonnet, so use the 1.6 ones and will be fine!!!
