1.4 With 1.1 Carb !

I have posted on here about my girlfriends 205 1.4 gtx, it wont idol and runs like a bag of crap almost undriveable ! it has a wierd single point injection, different to 106s, i cant find any spares for carb let alone another carb, what im intending to do is get a non injection carb from a 1.1 205 and stick it on there, i can get 1, there cheap, and hopefully it will get car running sort of ok. what i need to know is will it work ! will it run with all wires unplugged, and return fuel line off , cat obvoisly wont be working, same as ecu ! etc etc i just need to get the car running !

if you already have the carb just try it, it should work with all the other wires dangling.

the fuel return needs blocking.

im not sure it'll fit the manifold but i could be wrong, ive got an xs carb and manifold in the garage somewhere so if the 1.1 one doesnt work you can have that for cheap

thanks for help lads, will have to try to see if fittings are the same, the carb on there is very unsual i cant find anything the same must be cause its a GTX, car maybe going soon ! girlfriends fed up with it running like a bag of crap, she wants an MR2, or FTO ! oh dear oh dear jap crap, i wont be going in it.

I run a 1.4 tu engine from a xara with a 1.0 carb so should be fine.
