Cracked Block...

Recommended Posts

Retro Pug

Hi all,

After all the fun with my fire a few weeks ago and Anthony kindly helping me out with a replacement interior the car started overheating and there was some evidence of oil in the water.

Today I finally got around to removing the head and it looks pretty good but the block seems to have a few cracks in it so sadly it looks like a new engine for me....

Absolutely gutted I was really looking forward to enjoying some summer driving. :(

Miles

Very common now I'm afraid, the corrosion and the headbolts pulling the block up tends to but a nice crack along the back of the block
