If we all liked the same things in life the world would be a boring place!

I think your doing a great job and like you say it's all about practising and learning as you go.

As you mentioned lowering is your next job and I think it will make all the difference with a subtle drop.

Keep up the good work.

The red trims look a lot better than the white trims mate! and I like the white mixed in too, it's subtle but nice. I reckon if you painted the wheel centre caps white and the lion on them red it'd look very nice! That's just my opinion though :P

Well blue you have done what i dont like to do but your car looks fine not what i go for but this is why we are all different etc.

A for the other comment im very happy with seems that most people like it too some degree and do feel its being spoilt which is the main thing a few people have there own little changes which is to be expected , and odd one or two who just don't like it. I am members of 2 other pug forums and the reactions have been largely positive so in summary she cannot look bad .

Like to thank everyone for your input so far and i can assure you there will be more to come so keep your eyes out :)

Ok so today i had a day off and decided i would make myself useful , i started by putting the rest of the white strips on and touching up the edges of the red trims due to a few small bits been missed.

Then i decided i wanted to tidy the car up abit more now all the shuts need painting red but i decided i would make a start under bonnet to start with it looked like this .

2CA1D064-6CD4-4161-95B0-6617F1BCF6A6-591

As u can see not very tidy just some over spray on edge of wing and the just dull dirty rusty white , so i decided i give it a clean

63AD51C4-92D6-4825-AC6B-3A44A59073D5-591

Panel wiped it down moved a few wires and then got to work on the rust bubbles

DEF19FB7-8220-4D7E-BAEE-AA3B7EE79D61-591

Abit of aggression later haha ( few other small bits i did)

1459947F-0B7A-4E40-9E19-BC1C9E37EA36-591

Then i noticed this little bit lurking down the edge i decided i could get to it so i took it down haha

I then decided to take light out and see if i could get anything else

4B550618-58DF-4CEF-832D-04A74BE19696-591

Another wipe down and some more little bits found

80E74D9D-4AB6-45E0-AA5C-9E7E0519FDFE-591

Some more agression later haha

C8B0660D-4CBB-4054-8A5F-B72EEE683ED1-591

4C0A9AF8-B1EB-47D7-A316-971236810220-591

Gave it all another going over

BC00C84E-1DA8-4BFC-8A7F-03189DA9862D-591

Decided to make a half decent job of it took off strut brace and sanded down the suspension area then cover up the engine bits

1CB890C6-F629-4277-B223-EBDC05B7B66D-591

Primered

0453610F-BC50-4F15-A6E2-07582F8FAF87-591

Coloured

6AB71CE9-1761-461E-B4E0-476B9B833B14-591

Laquered

Only used cans as its not on show all time theres a few reactions ( which i expected) but it will help it look abit tidier , will get round to other side at some point

after seeing the thread about that number plate thing, I looked at your profile and saw a 306 with some interesting style modifications, I didn't know what to expect before opening this thread and it was all looking a bit "max power" at the start of this thread but I must say once you colour coded the trim it actually looks quite good and your painting skills are pretty good too, personally i'd ditch the white bits altogether though, for me they stand out in a tacky way, chrome or dark grey trim inserts and dark grey or silver wheels would be better imo! but its your car so do with it as you wish and enjoy it :) mines a rust free mechanically sound car but it ain't half tatty externally wouldn't change it though!

Yeah the number plate thread got slighty miss understood i think but thats another story haha and yeah im the kind of guy who will give something a try and then decide if i like it or not my 306 i loved the white on it wasnt for everyone but i was very happy , so i decided to do the same in a different way to the 205 but it just looked crap in my eyes and many others so i decided to try something else with the colour code and i love it , as for the white i do like it and im afraid i love white wheels loads of people have black or silver alloys and i like to be different but i respect your opinion and for your car you have it correct in the way it needs to be mechanically an rust free , id like to thank you for taking some time to research me and hope im not a complete disapointment hahaha

Antracite wheels and a black boot lid trim and it'd be a nice one :) I am surprised I haven't seen this about, I'm just down the road in Skipdale, always down Keighley way, got a mate in Riddlesdon. Keep your eye out for a Blue Passat with black wheels (one silver at the moment)

Nice car hahahha

And u will see it at some point im out and about all the time will have the front lowered on tuesday and back will be done a week or so later ( along with a full rear beam rebuild )

Looks tons better with the lowered front and auto bonnet. The white wheels are even growing on me now, just reckon they'd be better with white caps rather than red.

Don't look too bad, think they'd look better if they were 16s though.
