205gti 1992, atm 1900 engine.

i've got my wheels on it, and had a chance to buy speedline. got them, repainted them into white (i've got the whole project on photos if someone wanna see how i removed old colour and so)

what is better

look at the pic

ignore the white tyre. it will be removed.

are the speedline better? or the one i have?

p.s

the spoiler is going out soon. ignore it.

cheers.

your opinion is importent. based on that, i'll put the right wheels.

thanks man ;) i think so as well

the only thing is, that there are only 5! 205gti 1900 over israel. only 3! of them has the rims.

took me a while to get a set :D

they came on a bad shape, now they looks allmost perfect.

i can load the project i made for them over here.

i didnt use any sand blaster or machine, all was hand made. took me total of approx 10 hours.

total money spend -

1: wheels - 3 speedline, 1smr - 85gbp

2: trade the smr with 4th speedline - free.

3: sand papers - 2gbp for 10papers.

4: first colour layed, i mean the base colour. 1 spray can only. 2gbp

5: 4 matt white spray - 9gbp

6: laquer spray - 1 only. 5gbp

so total came with approx 105gbp.

i'll add the project pic in few minutes.

speedline refurb project! the photos!

those are the wheels when i bought them. very bad condition. some were little bit white, some were matt, it was all crazy out there

i've taken sand papers, 100 and 150, and started to remove all the colour. took me approx 1.5 hours per a wheel, to get 98% of the colour removed. and that saved me over 20gbp per wheel (over here sand blast for a wheel cost 25gbp)

after base colour on the wheel (made 2-3 layers of base colour)

after 5 layers of white. did 8 layers etc wheel

after 8 layers of white. all was sprayed. i left it for the night to dry

after 2 layers of laquer the wheels are almost ready.

Good stuff. In the past ive done the same sort of thing with alloys and its quite a pleasing achievment when it all comes together. I tend to use a few more layers of laquer in a bid to help them from corrosion. But Im guessing your roads arent quite as salty as ours!

Looks brilliant on a red car. You can see why Citroen adopted that as their race colour scheme.

Would look evern better in my opnion without that sill cover plate though. But thats just personal taste. :D

Good stuff :D

i would stick with the White rims, 205s only suit standard wheels.

I would use your paint skills to make the maroon paint on the front wings and the like go back to the proper red though.

Has it had a front ender?

indeed. i've bought them over germany and brought them to israel on a special flight when i've been there.

thier condition is "oke" due to need of some stiches repair. other that that, those are cool

will photo them if you wish and show it to you.

about the front wing -

i'll repaint it soon, it was a replaced wing due to some park problems when the old owner had the car.

about the side skirts kit

it has a front bumper as well, its a whole kit, has a small part for the back as well

i can get photos of it

it looks nice, but i think the original rear skirt of the car is cooler.

about the front, i might change it

about the paint

im not a paint artist, im just a garage owner. i wanted to open a painting section over the garage, but its still in progress. maybe in the future.
