Fuel Hose Too Long?

Recommended Posts

idoari

Hi,

i've bought two fuel hoses that goes from the pump to the fuel lines (1573.38)

The problem is they seems too long from the hoses that i have now. Each one of the genuine hoses is TWICE as long as one of the hoses i have now.

Is it normal? Or i had to buy only one and cut it in the middle to get the two hoses?

Thanks

Ido

You are supposed to buy 1 and cut it then bend it to fit.

Wouldn't bother paying Peugeot for items like this. All they do is mark up the price of the stuff you'd get off the reel at your local motoring shop.

how much you pay?

actually I really would pay Peugeot as the motorfactor stuff is substandard, just doesn't last much more than 18 months to two years before cracking from experience, if the oem stuff is anything like the original it'll last 10x longer.

Didn't realise you could still get the rubber hoses from pump to hard line ,the original stuff certainly lasts , I bought rubber hose before and it was cracked within the year !

Mine have been fine.

Also anything with Bosch written on it. try sourcing those from Andrew Page rather than Peugeot. All your paying for is their commission.
