Xu10J2Te Turbo Swap

Recommended Posts

I'm going to be swapping the turbo soon to a cosworth t34 and just wondered if it's as simple as extending to oil and water feeds and returns.

Obviously I will be using a different manifold, it's like a dp version where the turbo is positioned on top of the engine.

you'll need a different ecu most likely, unless you dont plan on running much boost, still needs mapping regardless.

why such an old turbo though?

I doubt that'll work particularly well on an 8v when it was made for a higher revving 16v of the same capacity.

Yes you will need to sort all the pipework, oil feed and drain, water, boost and air inlet.

I wouldn't call it a simple job and I've done a few turbo 205's, and I've machines and a tig welder to hand.

All you can really do is offer it up then measure and make what is needed.
