Rev Limiter

Recommended Posts

calvinhorse

I have a 2.1 litre 8 valve on standard 205 gti ignition and webber carbs

Am I right in thinking the rev limit is controlled by the ecu (which I no longer have)?

If so and I'm currently running limitless, will the omex rev limiter work with my set up?

I also like the look of the rev limiter with launch control. How does the launch control work if at all with my setup?

Thanks :)

Can you not just use your brain/eyes/foot as a rev limiter?

It's at 7.5k before you know it and still pulling so you can't tell when the power tails off, if I hit a pothole and the wheels spin up it revs over 8k which I'm a bit worried about.

No ecu, standard gti ignition

I think your "?" button is stuck ;)

If you have a coil you should be able to run a rev limiter, i just bought a micro dynamics one for my mi16 as the brain is delimited. You just hook the limiter up to the positive and negitive of the coil and adjust the limiter to what you want it. Thats it.
