[project] Dimma 205

when the compressor stalls and starts rotating the other way (which is very bad for the turbo),

boost gets pushed out through the airfilter and you hear the "chatter", on road cars anyway.

the radiator and fans were a very tight fit so had to do alot of modifing to the fan cowling to get them in, and also has to mount the the radiator different with the bottom of it in front of the front panel.

Am loving this thread - back in the days of my 1st 205 i brought a dimma kit (off ebay) but i never had the money to have it fitted so in the end got rid of it. WOuld have loved to be driving around in a dimma, a properly done one!

Keep up the good work!

If you wanted some wide wheels i may have 2 sets spare, as they dont normally look right with big spacers on them,

well i swapped it for my old 205 turbo that blew the turbo cos i needed a bigger car for the family but i don't need it now, but it has just been sold on ebay for £600, it had to go so i don't know what the guy is going to do with, hope it doesn't get it's heart ripped out.

thanks for the comments

will be taking the car into the body shop where i work this week so should be painted very soon.

Thanks for the comments omega, it wasn't to hard to repair just took a lot of time, blood and sweat.

but it prob helps that i'm a panel beater by trade and i'm able to do a lot in work as we are quite.

Quick update.

All the repairs are now good as done, so the car is going in to work tomorrow (Thursday), so progress should be quick now.

will take some more pics of the car once i have got it into work

well i just know a few people that keep selling things cheap cos they don't want them.

i did check the price for new seats and these ones should be about £170 each.

like the brakes came off a 207 gti that was a wright off.

the best bargain was the other 205 i bought with the turbo engine in, had self learning ecu, reprofiled cam, 309 beam, jamex suspension all round, full leather interior (which is for sale) £500.

wheels cost £40.

Dimma Kit £100

just gotta keep my ear to the ground.
