Front Anti-roll Bar

Recommended Posts

Guest davetibbs

I'm looking at replacing the Front ARB in my 405 - it's originally a 1.6 so not as big as the Mi16/T16 ones.

I've written off the T16 one as being nigh-on impossible to find (and besides, all the bushings etc from peugeot are NFP) but I'm struggling to even get a hold of an Mi16 one.

Were there any aftermarket Front ARBs made for the 405 (e.g. Eibach, etc)?

If not, are there any other models that are thicker and would fit? I tried chopping up a spare 406 coupe one I had but it was near enough impossible to make it fit!

Dave why don't you take your 16mm one to a springworks & see if they'll match it in a bigger diameter?

A club member over here did that & had a 24mm front made up for around $200-300.

Never seen an off-the-shelf front bar for a 405.

I'd just up the front spring rate and leave the skinny arb as it is :)

Would people be interested in an adjustable ARB? Could look at having the bar/linkages made in a batch?

Looks like I'll be in the UK in about 6 weeks or so. I'd be keen to investigate this.
