allanallen 528 2 Cars Posted August 10, 2006 it seams a waste to not use the roller rockers out of the vtr head on the tu3s head as they seem a much better design but is this possible? thanks in advance
bren_1.3 1 Posted August 17, 2006 dont think anyone's ever tried it! its only a rocker system after all, no power to be gained from it, and its not like they fail is it! your on your own on that one i think.
calvinhorse 870 Posted August 17, 2006 fairplay i just thought the rollers rolling over the lobes was better than the normal rubbing over the lobes type? but i guess if it aint broke dont fix it!!! cheers brens you clever clever man!
brianthemagical 1 Posted August 17, 2006 why don't you try it then? somebody has too. i know you have to take the head off (i think) to do it but, assuming you do the work yourself it shouldn't be too much trouble of money, then you'll have one more thing to put on the spec list of the car, therefore making the car go faster. Dj_mini 7 Posted August 17, 2006 Are you talking about the rockers used in the late 2001 on saxo head?

Dj_mini 7 Posted August 18, 2006 They are rubbish all the saxo / 106 boys bin them as there no good for high reving so revert back to the early spec. Do a search on ssc or ring jhon at gmc im sure he can offer more info.
Mattsav 1 Posted August 19, 2006 There's not as big a range of cam profiles for the roller rocker engines (plus they are more expensive). The std valve springs and std roller rocker cam profiles are designed for emissions so your not going to be gaining anything except a reduction in friction.
