Can a TU3S head be fitted to a 1.1 tu engine?

If so what gains in power will it make?

It should rev well due to its shorter stroke.

hmmmmmmm. y dont you just find a 1360cc bottom end and go with some good power from that? i dont think anyone has put a 1360cc head on a 1100 bottom end, simply because a standard 1360 is always going to make more power than a modified 1100.

if you want a bit more power from your 1.1 then maybe use the 1.4 carb....

Yeah, the twin choke solex 32-34-z2 carburettor and inlet manifold fits straight on. Make sure you get hold of the air housing that sits on top of the carb too though.

I am already using a twin solex coupled with a K & N air filter.

I just wondered whether anybody had tried the TU3S head.

I have the head and the 1.1 engine has only done 50 000 miles.

yes the head fits done this too a 1.0 when I got hit by a d*ck in my first xs, all I could afford after was a run down 1.0 and my block was knacked due to the crash, so that couldnt go in, but the head was fine. because you bring the cam in to play the engine will seem better but I didnt see much differents in the heads themselfs when I was half way through the change but there may of been the 1.0 gain a good 15bhp with the carb head cam from the xs and bigger jets in the carb, with a pipercross fliter 58bhp was the end result LOL it was only mucking around, the good old days,
