here`s my attemp of making an alloy dash , idont know weather to paint it matt black, as i`m worried about the sun shining off it and blinding me.

you`ll prob notice i haven`t yet made the gear sellector rod and fixed it in yet.

i`ve just added another pic of the car nearly finished, as the one i added the other day is a bit on the small side.

That thing looks like a serious bit of kit, certainly puts my 4 year effort to shame

By the way, where did you get the roof vent from? I'm looking for one just like that for my rally car.

the roof vent came off a 205 shell i bought off ebay, which i also got my dimma body kit off.

The roof vent is a carbon fibre one, which i had to spray as it was damaged by the time i had got it off the shell.

You can buy these at demon tweeks at around a cost of £250, or keep looking on ebay for one to come up for sale.

When and where was the engine run, and do you have a power/torque graph to show us?

Just managed to spend a minute on the computer putting some more pics on as i have been busy

the last few days, as my wife gave birth to my daughter sophie weighing 7lb 9 on saturday, i`m totally

knackered.

Rich

the engine was designed and built by neil at des developements.

It was originally mapped on an engine dyno producing 218bhp at 7800rp, But the mapping had to be aborted as we heard some

strange noises comeing from the bottom end. When it was took apart we found some unexspected problems

with the crank and bearings. So we decided to replace the standard one with a forged steel crank and race bearings as the others

would not stand up to the 9200rpm limit and compression of 12.1 which i am running.

So as you can see i still have not had the final mapping done, which when done with the engine spec should see between 250-270bhp at

the 9200 rpm rev limit.

Are they quite secretive as to the spec of their engines???

They build a lot of competition engines and like any good engine builder, don't splash all the details over the net. I know they do a lot of R&D and have exceptional customer service.
