Replacing Tca Bushes!

Recommended Posts

Jackman

I've bought a pair of new TCA from amy motor factors and have got a set of TI Motorsport Polybushes to replace the standards!

Whats the best way of getting the standard bushes out?

And then getting the TI ones in? Do these come apart and then i pushe them back togeather from either side?

Pictures just incase !

Various sized holesaws and a good drill are the best way to get the old bushes out.

I used oxy and an air chisel on mine as press at work was out of order.

If you dont have those, you can use a hacksaw to cut the metal casing (be careful not to cut into the arm) Then burn out the rubber, and bend the metal in on itself so it pops out.

Not tried the drilling method myself, sounds less messy and smelly than burning :D

The new ones will push in from either side as you say yes.

So if i slotted a screw driver or something in the bush and just tapped it with a hammer it should come out?

Sounds easier than all this drilling stuff!

use a suitable sized socket the size of the outer metal sleeve, and bash away. youll need more than a screwdriver and a light tap.
