Wishbones

Does anyone know where to get wishbones from at a halfway reasonable price?

GSF say they can only get pattern parts which are a very reasonable £52.35+VAT; but from what I've read I should stay clear of pattern wishbones.

Skip Brown do a grpN wishbone - it's a Pug Motorsport part, the same as standard but with a revised pin on the ball joint so that it can't fall out apparantly! £184+VAT

Local Pug dealer say £271+VAT OUCH!

One side definitely needs doing, but I don't think the other side is much better (failed bush on one side - both sides have loose ball joints)

Any sugestions?

Pattern wishbones and then change the bushes for gen Peugeot ones. Its the bushes that aren't great on the pattern parts.

Is that the case? Excellent!

Any special tools required to drift out/press in? I have access to pretty much anything if need be, I just need to butter up the right people.

www.buypartsby.co.uk

£42.15 +vat each

£105.57 delivered for a pair

lots of people have ordered these (myself included) and had no problems although replacing the bushes with genuine pug ones for £20 is recommended

Assuming it's 205 bones and not 309 ones, get some Motaquip ones as they are supposed to be what Pug sell. Call Motaquip sales and ask for a list of the nearest dealers to you.

They should be a reasonable price too, and no need to replace bushes.

Like I said, call up Motaquip (number on website) and find the nearest motor factor who stocks their parts. They gave me a list of about 7 around London, none close to me (N1) but it's not difficult to get around the city. The 2 I ended up speaking to were around Uxbridge IIRC. Price for 309 bones was not over 50 each either, IIRC, so 205 ones will be similar price. Only reason it fell through for me is that when they tried ordering them we found out that Motaquip had stopped producing the 309 ones. 205 ones are still being supplied as far as I know.

£54.42 plus Vat is still too dear! Or at least it was for the last pair of Motaquip I bought in the summer. Somewhere around £36 + vat each.
