Crack Of Doom

Recommended Posts

Few weeks I've had a cracking sound coming from footwell

Seems to be worst at power on/off but engine mounts are ok

Changed driveshaft (was on list anyway), been in about with the spanners (and crowbar!) all bushes are good, drop links, wishbones, subframe, anti roll bar etc

Only bit that's I'm not sure of is lower engine fork as I can move it with crowbar

I've even had carpet up to check floor lol

Roundabouts are where you hear it most and it's most definitely a metallic cracking sound (hence why I checked floor #paranoia)

Anybody had similar?

check the bottom of the top engine mounting bush, these can crack whilst still appearing tight in the cradle.

Mei- you get the cigar

Lower thread on engine mount bush was 1/4 turn slack

Loctite and a larger Peugeot bush fitting kit (bigger chisel and lump hammer)-sorted

Many thanks for pointing me in right direction
