Missing Front Brake Clips / Rubbers

Recommended Posts

artois7

Hi all,

A while back I removed the front brake pipe on my 1.9 to fit a replacement, life got in the way and I misplaced the bits.

I've now come to fit some replacement brake pipes (these are extended GTI-6 pipes that I've been sourced locally) however I'm missing the black rubber bung that secures it to the strut, and there must be some sort of U-clip that secures the flexi to copper pipe join near the top of the arch.

Excuse the horrifically blurry photo but it should highlight the bits I'm missing:

Any idea where I can get these? Can't imagine the MOT place would be too happy if I took it in cable tied up

the rubber bit you'll find on your old hoses.

4814 G0 is the metal clip.

Wish it was that simple, removed the old hoses a while ago then house renovations got in the way and I've since misplaced / lost / binned the old parts... Sigh!

I'd pop to a local breaker then :)

Tidied the garage a bit and found the old hose with the rubber bung on it, that's a result. Any ideas where I could order that clip (or similar) online? Been scouring ebay but not really getting close.

Any dealers accept online orders? Excuse my ignorance - never ordered anything from a dealer and I don't think there is one local (Swindon)?

I may just take you up on that Anthony - I've recently moved house and I'm considerably closer to you now!

There is a Peugeot dealer in Swindon - it's Fish Brothers Peugeot/Kia off Great Western Way, next to Mannington Retail Park where John Lewis At Home etc is.

It has to be said that their parts department is distinctly variable though.

Aware of Fish Brothers, I just didn't think / realise they had a walk in parts department ^_^

Parts department is the level below the new car showroom on the Peugeot side of the building, next to the service department :)
