Juddering With Omp Lower Strut Brace?

Recommended Posts

rbdemen

Just fitted an OMP lower strut brace. The lower engine mount is close but not touching... however, I do get a juddering when applying power from standstill sometimes, or certain tight steering angles - things that were not happening before. Only had it on for a couple days so I haven't quite figured it out what's happening under the chassis. Anyone else experience this? Would new engine mounts help? Might just take the lower strut brace back off, though my initial impression is that it does improve the handling some. Thanks in advance for any insight.

To follow up, I used some 5 mm washers between the lower brace and the front of the control arm. In effect, it moved the strut bar forward and gave more clearance for the lower engine mount. No more vibrations on left hand turns. Problem solved.
