Fuel Filter Location

as space is tight round the back or my engine , i was wondering if it would make any difference mounting the fuel filter somewhere else , maybe even just in front of the strut top at an angle . surely it doesn't need to be vertical does it?

anywhere away from heat will do, they are pressurised so no they dont need to be vertical.
