No Power To Half The Fuses

Recommended Posts

Justin181

As i bought my 1.6 gti as a non runner.. its been like opening a can of worms.. one thing after the other.

My indicators.. hazard lights .. heater fan and window wipers are not working.. i have checked the fusebox with a probe.. and half of the fuses have no power going to them..

is there any common problems with fuesboxes going down?

Any help would be much appreciated

The two brown wires are connected together inside the fusebox, so one breaking shouldn't cause half the circuits to fail.

Not all the fuses are powered all the time. Only 4-9 are connected directly to the battery. 2 and 3 only come on once the key is turned to the first click (accessory), and 1 comes on at the second click (ignition). 11-13 come on when the lights are on. 10 when the rear fog is on, and 14 when the fuel pump is running.
