What exactly did you do to the hubs and wishbones (as in the finish?)? They look really nice.

And the wishbones too! Did you paint them or just clean them really well? Looks brilliant!

I assumed the question was aimed at the treatment the manifolds received, i.e. how was the exhaust manifold cleaned up to the nice shiney finish.

MH, am I correct?

Roger! Reims, how did you get that finish?

From what i remember from chemistry lessons, its done by a process called electrolysis. The metal you want to plate is placed in a bowl of a certain solution, depending on what type of plate you require. The item being plated is then surrounded by whats called an anode, which is hooked up to the positive feed of a battery, whilst the item being plated is hooked up to the negative feed. i think.

The current then transfers through the solution to your item and plates it magically.

I think www.frost.co.uk sell plating kits to do exactly what i have just said, they're not that cheap really, but bloody useful.

If you look on locostbuilders forum, there's a topic in there on how to use the above method to remove rust, i think the solution is sodium carbonate or something.

Worth a look, makes for an interesting read and it does work
