307 2.0 Petrol - Ecu Fault

Recommended Posts

madspikes

The family 307 sw, with the same engine as the 206 gtI, has started playing silly buggers. First Off it wouldn't start, then the throttle wouldn't do anything( fly by wire jobbie). After poking it for.15 mins and smacking the throttle body, the car started by with only limited power, so got the car home. Engine management light is on and reporting a p0121 code, which is the throttle circuit. With the ignition On, the any movement of the throttle pedal only equals a very small change in butterfly angle. Ecu dongle only states max of 30% of throttle is being used.

Any ideas on debugging this problem?

Help!

Thanks,

Clive

Sounds like dead throttle body, get it plugged into pp2000 and look if the throttle pedal movement is being registered.

Just for info, got the ecu properly cleared of codes, and now all seems good.

Also gave the throttle a dam good clean.

Happy days!
