Help Sealing A Blowing Exhaust - Maniblow.

Recommended Posts

kyepan

Hi there,

I'm a bit stumped as to how i can get a good seal on my blowing exhaust. It's held together with mikalor clamps, real good quality ones. The lower section is swaged to sleeve onto the upper section.

We can get it to seal nicely for a few heat cycles, then after that it starts to blow again. It appears to be blowing from between the join from the primaries into the 4-2 section.

We've used setting stuff, non setting stuff, welded a flexi into it before the main system, used two sets of clamps, cleaned it up.. etc etc.

I just want a sealed system...

Any advice welcome.

J

I welded mine up, now only have 2 joins (after the collector and before the backbox).

I'm not using a normal maniflow, so welding isn't really an option.

Are the ends slotted, if not you could use the tab/strap assembly.
