Making the metal tube inside the airbag bigger so the shock (with newly-welded coilover sleeve) will fit inside it

New steering rack (though seemed to be fitted with incorrect track rods, but I recovered the situation by fitting 306 track rod ends rather than 405 ones).

Hmm, interesting! And what are you going to do about the rears?

P.S. Is it possible to adjust height while driving? All the cars I've seen with air suspension are slammed when stationary and riding higher than standard when driving .

I have a 4x4 rear beam (for the planned 4x4 conversion). I'll replace the OEM hydraulic shocks with air ones :)

I don't see any reason why you can't adjust the height whilst driving.

OK, but won't they be riding lower AND softer with lower pressure?

Bear with me, I know nothing about these systems :). I was thinking of fitting it to my 307.

How much should I be looking to pay for a 2nd hand setup?

Interesting, is that air-units provided by Spax?

Yes, this is true.

I'm afraid I don't really know what a 2nd-hand setup sells for.

Yes, they're the PSX adjustables I had fitted to the car previously. I cut off the spring cup and welded the threaded tube onto them, essentially converting them into coilovers.

Nice thread, cant wait to see it finished.

One question/point tho. Would you not need a strengthened windscreen and role bar with up-rates sills like on the 205 CTi of the period?
