406 Diesel Brakes

Hey Guys

Got some brakes from an SDTD 406 that was being scrapped ( the ones that take 283mm rotors). I need to buy rotors though so before I do; does anyone know whether or not they will fit on a 405?

Yes it should fit straight on the complete brake system. So go ahead :)

as long as you run 15"+ yes

late 405's ran the same hubs as the 406.

I have the 15" speedlines but the car is a Ph1. 1991

that's fine, the earlier hubs are the same dimensions but not hollow cast and have a smaller balljoint.

Can you upgrade to the later ones and is it worth it for a car that will be used for motorsport? Are they lighter/stonger?

a little stronger but no lighter, you'll need the later wishbone as well, afaik as the pin is larger in the balljoint, larger balljoint too.
