Which Cams?

Recommended Posts

mmt

Hi guys,

In My mi16 head is an unknown set of cams. They must have higher lift as the head has been "shaved" to allow the lobes to turn. Without the shave turning Would have been impossible. I am only able to find a "256" stamp on both of Them. There is an "L2" and a "T" on one and a "B2" and a "T" on the other. No name or any other designation.

Would anybody be able to identify the cams ?

Thanks.

Sometimes there are some markings on the face where the distributor slot is located.

There are no other markings. I guess 256 means 256 degrees?

256 is not very wild at all so i doubt its that.

Me neither! However they do not seem to be regrinded or welded in any way. But the lobes are quite large.

The lift is easy to measure. Just subtract the base circle diameter from the overall height. Given it the head needed relieving, it must have more than 0.400" of lift.

Thanks. Great stuff. I will try that. I was told that the lift is around 13 mm. Do you know mi16 std lift?
