Need Phase 2 Chassis Code

Recommended Posts

cammmy

Trying price up the later oil spring+pump sprocket+chain. Got the spring and sprocket okay but they do not know if the price of the sprocket includes the chain or not. Aparrently they need a chassis number to find out for some reason. Mine won't work as these parts aren't designed for this car (they are for the later engine but fit the 1.9 giving better pressure+flow).

Peugeot have also said that when the sprocket is changed part 0512 21 should also be changed. It seems that it is some kind of spacer.

Any body have a phase 2 chassis code I could please use? Also does anyone know if I should be changing the above part?

Okay, scrap the above. I believe I have the part numbers

1157 11 - 6 Bar Spring

0513 54 - 26T Sprocket

1033 10 - 52 link Chain

Can anybody confirm these?

Can anybody tell me though if 0512 21 does in fact need to be changed when the sprocket is changed?

Edit - 0512 21 is described as "Cranksft Spacer - 22 Dents" If i'm putting a 26 tooth sprocket in there would I not need one with 26 dents? That part is linked to the XU10J2 in the service box

Man I'm confused

If you got those numbers from Peter's website (taylor-eng.com) they'll be correct & that's all you need.

Got the spring and sprocket parts from the site. Had to find the chain from the service box.

The 4 part numbers all match up for the XU10J2. The XU10J4 also uses those parts bar the spacer, which is a different part number, no equivalent part listed for the XU9J4.

The spacer is the bit i'm worried about, can I miss it as there isn't one listed for the XU9 or do I need one if I want to use the XU10 sprocket. Will ask Peter
