Just been looking at options and everyone seems to list bodies for mi16/gti6 but not 8v does anyone do a manifold to mount bodies.

Look for a manifold to suit Weber DCOE carburettors, then Jenvey DCOE pattern throttle bodies will bolt straight on to it.

Miles, I know nothing about throttle bodies,Carbs etc- what sot of money are you talking to fit them to an engine?

My lads got a crazy idea about fitting them to his car.

Cost of bodies supplied, fitted and mapped is around £2500.00, It's little things on the 8v which makes it harder as the flywheel needs changing to make a neat job for the crank sensor, unless you have a Motronic car.

Carb's anything from £100.00 and setting up

Hi Miles, does this approximate cost of TB's include swapping the fly wheel?

Thanks, Andy.

you can just put a trigget wheel on the crack pully if you don't want to mess with the fly wheel

Swapping flywheel is extra, finding one with a 200mm clutch can be tricky or upgrade to a 215mm version with the larger clutch.

You can use a trigger wheel but It's one of those things I have never liked, Makes everything a pain with cambelt, Acc belt and exposed down there, you can also use a 16v Golf dizzy for a signal which is better than the trigger wheel
