Video Review With 205

Recommended Posts

Well to be completely honest I watched it preparing for a cringe fest (I <3 my 205 and everything else sucks) but it was actually very, very good. Well worth watching :)

That is a cracking video - really caught the essence of how it feels to own a 205. Very nice job indeed.

Especially the smell: "unburnt pertrol and plastics"; I have been known to open mine just for a quick sniff

Ah... the suck of the sunroof.

The fact that you will never want to sell once you bought it.... damn that's not the investment opportunity I promised my wife. :D

Cheers. I'm keeping quiet about the investment part too!

I find that crack up top, just above the door an interesting one. I've had that issue before I got the car resprayed and I have it again, an almost hairline fracture. Has anyone every attempted some seam welding based strengthening to stop it from reoccurring?

Echo what others have said above. I am getting mine out of hibernation this afternoon and having watched that I am dead excited now!

Another thing I noticed after doing the video. One of the brake lights was out. Always good on the 205 that it took about 40 seconds to replace!

Nice, well made and thoughtful review..... one thing annoys me though.... your speedo doesn't wobble! ...... new cable?

I like the pepperpots I think I'll put mine back on for a change.

As far as I'm aware the cable is original it does wobble a little bit at lower speeds but not as much as some I've seen!

Pepperpots rule.

Super job, well done. Really nice video you have done there!

I remember chatting to you at the NEC a couple of years back when I had my car there :)

Yes, I do remeber at the Classic Car Show! I think it may have been you that told me about the crack in the rear 1/4 and when I got home to look I could just see the fine line. It's a bit more like the Gran Canyon now though, must be the way I drive it. :D
