Brake pedal travel was increased and had very little braking earliee.

Checked fluid and fluid was low but still had a bit left, suprisingly. Never even needed to top up before!

No leaks on the floor at all or in the engine bay.

Would this point to a faulty servo or Master cylinder?

To simply top up will the system need bleeding? (Intend getting it checkee out but just topping up for now to seenif issue resolved)

Just topped up and its leaking from driver side rear brakes.

Brake pipe or caliper I presume?

Apologies for the dumb questions but I don't have the confidence with brakes. Taking it in to have it done but wanted to get a heads up.

Replacement caliper would sort it. By the way, you do realise you have the bracket fasten wrong on bottom of shock where flexi meets solid line

Saw some new (maybe reconditioned) on eBay @ £70

Hard to explain how you've got bracket on wrong without seeing better pic.

Also - are these correct:

BOLK Complete Caliper fits Peugeot 205 1.9 GTI 1.9 CTI 1.9 GTI CAT

https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/191961471362

I presume you can just replace one side and dont have to replace the pair?

This is for a 206 not a 205 mate?

That BOLK one is a front.

The 206 one will fit, it says it is 30mm which is the same as a 205.

The same calipers were fitted to the rear of several Peugeots, Citroens and Renaults so you can widen the search a bit, just make sure they are 30mm diameter pistons and not 32mm as fitted to the Xsara VTS and 306 GTi6 etc.

Get someone to push the brake pedal while you watch for the leak first  ,safety glasses on ! ,fluid can travel back with the car moving along . :D

Beware of cheap ones, Goto a motor factor as it's easy to return them, I've had 2 recon ones which didn't provide any braking effort on the foot brake, swapped to a Brakes Int caliper and no problem

the caliper bolt lock plate is broken in two and the cable ties on the handbrake cables are missing too!    if you pop down to see dan we can show you how it all goes together, brakes are very easy to sort.

Thanks Meirion. The lock plate I assume doesn't come with a new lock plate.

Also the cable ties do you mean the little metal round fasteners?

Cheers
