how come the brake reinforcment isnt predrilled?

 

they really are thick, bet they weigh a bit too.

Probably to save some time. But it's not such a big deal to drill a couple of holes.

There is some extra weight, but it's just a good reason to use more carbon fiber parts. :blush:

Another day in the garage. It takes alot of time when you are building a cage for the first time.

Cut, test, cut some more, test, etc......

might be worth checking whether you have the curve the right way. I think the pipe should be concave to get the strength in the triangulation.

I've checked it this Saturday and it's curved towards the door as it should be, and not down as it looks like on the pictures. The photo is taken in a strange angle.
