Anybody know the actual difference in length between the 309 and 205 shafts??? Im just trying to judge which length to go for when using 309 lower arms and 306 hubs.

The 309 GTI shafts are 10mm longer then the one from the 205 GTI.

I just have fitted a complet rear axle from a 309GTI in my 205GTI and

i also used the 309 lower arms in combination with my original 20GTI Shafts.

Why have you chosen 306 hubs? Even with longer 309 shafts dont you end up with the same or possibly less camber than a standard 1.9 205 setup when you really want a lot more negative?

I think you mean wishbones, not shafts, but yes, it looks like almost no negative camber at all with 306 hubs and 309 wishbones.

As the shafts are longer and with the neg camber that will give you on the 205 does this make the shafts vulnerable and more prone to wearing/snapping prematurely??

Could you use 309 1.1i/1.4i shafts (850mm long, 21 spline) with 1.6 hubs and get neg camber PLUS wider track?
