Weber Carb?

i got a old MG meastro twin carb on my CJ ( xs engined ) mkes it alot faster but drinks the fuel, :) bought one off a capri but never got round to fittin it they are supposed to be good

Is it a straight bolt on. Wouldn't mind a bit more power as mine is gonna be turned into a track car!

I know you can fit the 38dgas as macaroni has but i'm not sure what carb is actually in that auction?

 

 

I'd prefer twin carbs, some maestro ones went for 200+ a week or so ago.

Do they bolt straight on or do you need to modify the manifold?

the mg maestro manifold needs the bolt holes drilled out and longer bolts put into the head on the top, the ports line up ok but do need a little work

 

but for over £200 its not worth it a proper manifold will cost around 160 and carbs arnt that dear at the moment with everyone going bike carbs

i got my maestro carbs for £55 with manifold, and only a couuple of mods needed, find it alot quicker and nicer to drive,

Was also watching but hey, I looked on ebay and maestros (with the twin webbers) sell for like 50 quid

 

 

I know what my next car is. ;)
