Warped discs, worn pads, wheel bearing on the way out (unlikely)

worn discs.

Suggest you take the wheel off and have a gander

Let us know what you find

Even loose caliper bolts are possible. Don't ask how I know :)

Also just because the discs are just 10k old doesn't mean they can't be warped.

How do you check for warped discs?

Wheel off, pointer by the disc, give it a spin.

People seem to forget that leaving your foot on the brake pedal after a hard stop can cause warping!

USE THE HAND-BRAKE!!!

I don't think using the handbrake for a hard stop is a very good idea :)

Its not the brakes.I can feel a slight vibration all the time through the steering wheel but its worse when braking.

I've checked the tyres and pressures and found nothing. Will get it over the pit at work tomoz and check it.

Just done 1500 miles in the last week or so going to Felixstowe on the m-way and it just got slighty worse on the way back. :)

Any ideas?

Yeah. Will check the underside tomoz and if l find nothing then i'll get the tracking done.

I've hit a few big pot holes recently but didn't notice anything straight away......and a plastic bottle at 95 on the A14 :( but couidn't see any damage.

Check the wheels aren't flat spotted/buckled.

I had a similar thing on my previous 205 (not a gti tho), i replaced bearings, calipers, pads, disks but it still did it. I eventually fitted another rack and it cured it.
