Rear Drum Backplate Bolts

Recommended Posts

les3002

swapping the drums on my gti atm and have come to remove the backplates but the 4 bolts that hold them on are well rusty so before attacking them could someone confirm what type they are torx or allen?

cheers

Pugnut

they are allen , but they are usually so rusty that hammering in an oversized torx works better.

I've only seen Allen on the radius arms (205, 309 & ZX) that I've stripped.

Like Pugnut says, they are usually so rusty that I've got an old 7/16 bi-hex socket i hammer over the head to get them out now rather than bother rounding the off.
