Interior Door Handle

My driver's side Interior Door Handle has broken off where the screw connects at one end.

 

Was the same part fitted to all 205's or were they specific to the GTi ?

 

Is the driver's side the same as the passenger side ?

Not sure if they are handed for sure but I believe so. But certainly any model will fit

If we are talking about the bit you pull to shut the door from the inside, they are not handed.

Here's I was thinking of the handle used to unlatch the door from inside. (Door release handle??)

It is the interior arm rest / door handle, that is used to pull the door closed, that I am referring to.

 

There are a couple on ebay. One is described as black and one as grey, which puzzled me slightly, but I guess the black one has just faded to grey.

Black would be for a Phase 2 (1991 onwards) car, grey for an earlier one. Yours being 1988 should be the earlier grey type.

They are present on most 205s but some of the very basic spec. models actually use a roof rail grab handle as the door handle, the spacing between bolt holes is identical.
