Overheating

think it was just an aitlock but for future referance.... why do i have two fans but only one plug? is it ment to be like this?

 

seems weird to have two fans if only one works and has a plug

Twin fan set up is from a Diesel. Do you "actually" have two fans, as they all have the casing for two, but only one inside.

 

And is your car actually overheating??

red light was coming on and it was telling me to stop after shor journeys so yeag

h id say overheating

sorry bout the terrible spelling above. anyway just checked with my dad he asid there is two fans but only one is connected.

 

 

in which case if it is a diesel one i am going to wonder what the hell is going on..... diesel gearbox (before i changed it) and now rad? i think someone likes diesels

The twin fan has a different wiring loom, find a diesel 205 in the scrap yard and swap the loom. If its a standard diesel rad its the same as a GTi rad, if its from a Turbo Diesel its twice the thickness.

Fan doesnt make any difference after 20mph

 

Methinks you may have headgasket issues mate
