Really enjoying this thread, some relly good photos that are helping me plan my own refurb.... Trouble is oyu see this and want to change it to a Restore and that means it will be even longer before I get to drive it

Time for an update on this car...

 

After getting the free GTI and restoring it as good as possible, i decided to sell this project, stuff sold pretty fast, and the car was sold :(

 

But in return i got this:

Unfortunately the joy didnt last long, after a collision with a street lantern it was game over for the 205...

But the good thing is that i had the chance to buy my old project back, so its time to get back in the shed :D

Very nice build and attention to detail, I'm quite new to 205s myself, and cars in general but I've just bought a 1.6 GTi which will be my project for the future and this just shows me what's achievable :)

 

On one of the pictures you mention glass beading, what's that? It looks so clean!

Wow that is a nasty accident, glad your ok, these 205s are pretty poor when it comes to accidents.
