Really enjoying this thread, some relly good photos that are helping me plan my own refurb.... Trouble is oyu see this and want to change it to a Restore and that means it will be even longer before I get to drive it

Time for an update on this car...

 

After getting the free GTI and restoring it as good as possible, i decided to sell this project, stuff sold pretty fast, and the car was sold

 

But in return i got this:

 

 

 

Unfortunately the joy didnt last long, after a collision with a street lantern it was game over for the 205...

 

 

 

 

But the good thing is that i had the chance to buy my old project back, so its time to get back in the shed

Very nice build and attention to detail, I'm quite new to 205s myself, and cars in general but I've just bought a 1.6 GTi which will be my project for the future and this just shows me what's achievable

 

On one of the pictures you mention glass beading, what's that? It looks so clean!

Wow that is a nasty accident, glad your ok, these 205s are pretty poor when it comes to accidents.
