right then new thread for a new (to me) car :D its a 1989 Pug 205 1.1 GTI replica

first off a bit of background on it, it was bought by my brother off a woman on this month 2011 and has been slowly turned into a 1.6 GTI replica it was a pile of junk that misfired and spat oil out with very faded/ orange paintwork and some granny seats :D my brother had bought it, modified it but never drove it or even ran it for more than 5 mins :( but now i have bought it it will be a 1.9 GTI replica with a few extras :D and better yet will actually be driven lol

heres a link to the old project thread on detailing world which shows it getting fixed up :)

http://www.detailing...ad.php?t=216524

soo how its is looking these days, not bad for £250 :D

after moving it i have realised it needs a new clutch but i got one with an engine i bought off eBay 99p, as well as a new cambelt tensioner and water pump :D so its all good :)

the reason it has to be moved :(

all clean now though :D

the old car and the new, going to miss the ax :(

No cambelt cover though?

It seems to appear at the start of the thread and its gone by the end!

Either way, nice car! I'm liking the number of low mileage base model's that we are now seeing here on the forum - usually only see them in France (absolutely everywhere!)

quite high!! It's insane. My first years driving on the 205 XS was £550, not my own policy admittedly but still its a yawning chasm between them! I feel so sorry for learners now, its only been 3 years since I was in your boots but it still seems to be rising.

Anyway car looks tidy, once some seats are sorted it will be rather nice.

it is pretty insane, don't know why they charge so much really, it was the same situation on my Citroen AX at £397 a month all mods declared :( though standard it was around £289 a month
