Emerald Wiring Question

Recommended Posts

p1234

Im removing the itb's from my gti6 engine and adding a supercharger. I plan on keeping my Emerald ecu as it has the option for switchable maps etc,

I'm wondering can I keep the plug leads and coil pack I used with the throttle body setup or do I need to go back to the standard individual coil pack set up?

no reason why you can't keep the full arrangement as it is other than adding a map sensor, you dont NEED to go sequantial.

depends which Emerald you have though, I think the K6 can do sequential, not sure on the K3, but if you want to use that capability you'll need to change a lot of the wiring to the injectors and coils, and add the cam sensor wiring.

I have a K3,

Adding a Map sensor should be straight forward enough, the less wiring I have to do the better so keeping the existing coil pack would be handy.
