Mi16 Newbie Build Advice

MI16 build...

Hello all, Some of these questions might of been discussed but i cant find any definitive answers.

I have just bought an mi16 engine and want to start getting the parts ready for the install Engine is standard apart from cams and it will be a road car.which leads me on to the questions.

Engine mounts - Would I be right in saying that the standard lower rear engine mount will fit on the mi engine?

ITB, Which throttle bodies are prefered omex, jenveys, or longman.

Which injectors are people using?

Engine management? Im currently running a MS2 on my car, would moving over to a omex or emerald system be an upgrade?

I need an exahaust manifold too, what do people on here run.

From Chris mi in Birmingham was interested myself in this but changed my mind owning to time engine has stood

It is jrods old engine yes, Took the cam cover off and all seems good, everything coated with oil and no rust so...

Please before you fit it change the cam belt. I was going to buy this a year ago but to get best from engine I was advised due to cams it needed itbs and after market ecu. At the time Chris wanted 1k for it At that time I would have needed about another 2k for bodies and ecu so I stuck with my standard mi 16 set up. Good luck with your project thanks peter

Small world seeing this engine pop up again, A search on here may bring up some details on it but I remember that when it was almost new

 

Only thing really these days to add is Clio injectors are the best to use, (Cheap) and the Longer style inlet manifold or the Jenvey one for ease of fitment and filter's, Longman never made any thing, just bought in from Jenvey

Bodies, i can get better prices on Jenvey now but like for like no difference
