Ducellier V. Bosch Distributors

My SWMBO's 205 is a carb TU 1.1 engine, and is currently running with a Ducellier distributor. Can this be replaced with the Bosch distributor for the TU engines? The mounting seems to be the same on the engine, and the rotor arm and cap after obviously different. The 3-pin connector on the side of them look the same, so is there any reason why they can't be swapped around? Being a carb engine, there isn't really any ECU to worry about, so I can't see why they can't be interchanged.

 

The reason for asking is the current Ducellier might be a bit flakey and I got my hands on a Bosch unit. Another advantage is that the rotor arm and cap for the Bosch unit seems easier and cheaper to get hold of.
