Inlet Manifold

I knoiw the 106 rallye manifolds are thought to give a good increase over the carb/spi manifold, but they go for silly money - the 206 manifold looks relatively similar in design, apart from its plastic and appears to have space for injectors.

Does anyone know if it will fit?

The Carb/SPi type head has a completely different port and bolt layout to the 106 rallye (and XSi) and well as the later silver top heads, which are different again.

Bugger. I might just swap a 106xsi engine in there then - mines sounding a little rough lately, using a bit of oil too. :o

If you can get one yes, 23kg heavier than the Alloy block engine though :o

Yeah, but I can rebuild the bottom end of the ally engine then and swap them over when finished.

The Rallye inlets quite often only go for about £130 complete, so not as bad as you probably were thinking.

My total engine build budget so far has been about £50. That got me a ported head, xs cam, skim, new seals etc, ptfe gaskets and a radiused pipe for the throttle body entrance. :)

I'm not counting the management and the wideband as they're reusable :D
